How dare you mock me. There was a layer of quinoa underneath. And some chicken breast.

I'd be lying, though, if I said I wouldn't rather be eating what rws is having. I really need to try keto one of these days. If what I'm doing now doesn't give me good results within 2 months, I think I will. Eating sausage, bacon, steak, rack of lamb, ribs... etc. all day would be heaven for me.

Which is not to say I think his diet is easy. I would just enjoy it a lot at first, is all.

Keto really is awesome! I love eating tons of meat. When's the last time things like pepperoni were allowed in a diet? Ya know? (although it's still not the best food choice due to processing, but hey)

I'm glad you think my meals look delicious... I'll post some more keto-style meals soon!

It's a hamburger with lettuce as the bun

I could have added bacon to this bad boy as well, but was too lazy I spose.

A ketogenic diet is high in fats and protein, and very low or no carbs at all ( usually sub 50 ). This will force the body into a state of ketosis where "ketones" are used as a fuel source instead of glucose.

Fat will be able to oxidate faster because of the extremely low insulin levels.
It is very efficient, and many bodybuilders and lifters use it for their cutting phase. Has helped some people to overcome that barrier of 10% BF, and finally hit 7/8% as well.

Yeah, it's basically an Atkins diet except that there are built in carb-up days where you eat a ton of carbs to restore leptin and glucose, etc.

Heh, I haven't had that kind of stuff for a long while. I still love hamburgers and have them all the time (home prepared), but haven't eaten a fast food burger for a while.

This was delicious!

A salad with romaine and italian lettuce, mushrooms, half a tomato, cucumber slices, two egg whites and one whole egg.... and some ranch dressing. It's been a long time since I enjoyed ranch dressing guilt free!

I wished this bowl would have never emptied.. heh.

Here it is without the dressing...

And with..
