Milk is one of the foods that is the most allergenic or to which the most peoples are intolerant too. Eating a food to which you have even a mild allergy or intolerance will put a stress on your body thus will lead to cortisol increases.

My acne is pretty much recovering now. I am eating the same amount of dairy as before. Going to start drinking milk a little more again to see what happens. But I think I have come to notice some things:

On the internet websites constantly say exfoliation won't help acne and the like. Clearisil for me seems to occasionally work tbh. But I couldn't argue too strongly in its favour. Two things which are definitely doing wonders seem to be my Boots natural exfoliating mixture - willow bark extracts etc. And my Enjo (a non chemical cleaning product) exfoliating glove. Basically exfoliating my skin in the shower in the morning and using this willow bark stuff at night seems to be completely reviving my skin. It's actually pretty awsome. The odd use of clearisil seems to also be doing at least some good. I am also taking cod liver oil - high in vitamin C. Atm, I'm pretty content with my spot situation. Even though I have more than usual, I wouldn't say my spots are any worse than average.

Thanks for the help everybody!

willow bark
This contains a number of salicylates. I've used it in the past for headache and general pain relief and it did a fair job. Its chemical structure has some anti-inflammatory effects thanks mostly to the chemical group I mentioned above.

This item your "exfoliating" on your skin with is pretty significant in a chemist world. Because of this item we now have aspirin. Although, there a number of other items chemist would have eventually discovered (many already known at the time) that are similar to this and could have been used to help create aspirin. This was just the biggest player in all of it.

I love my tuna too and have a tin every afternoon with low fat crackers as my snack. What kind of tuna are you eating though, those numbers seem much higher than mine. I have :

Tuna in Brine (185grams)
