| | | new and need help hey all im 23 soon to be 24 in january and i need to get into shape.i wanna get the body i want by june 08 thats 6 months away so these are my questions
1: i weigh 165 pounds and im 5'9. i wanna get those 6 pack abs and nice tight upper body and i know i can't achieve this without a good meal plan. i need someone to recommend me what foods i need to eat and how many times a day i need to eat them, also please don't say you need this many carbs or protein just say exactly what foods i need and times i need to eat them. also im not rich im still in school so don't go overboard with crazy foods i wont be able to afford lol.
2:what workouts do you recommend for a brand new nooby at this. i want a six pack and a tight upper body(not bodybuilder type stuff) just nice and tight chest and arms. and please be very specific
can i make this happen by june if i dedicate myself fully to this?? thx in advance |

Though it varies person by person as to when your abs may ' show ', you might start by setting a target of trying to get your body fat close to 10% or so.
However, you need to start a plan of attack in term of tackling fat, calories etc, so you have to gather some basic info first. Here is a basic ' information gathering approach ' you can use to get you started........
HOW CALORIES RELATE TO FAT LOSS
This excellent article by Tom Venuto does a great job of discussing ' Calorie Calculators & Calorie Calculations ' ( including explaining & calculating your things like your BMR, " maintenance calories ", etc. etc. ) and how you can use this info to help you lose fat. HOW MUCH BODY FAT DO I ACTUALLY HAVE
Finally, if you want to lose fat, it's always a good idea to first get some rough idea of how much fat you currently have on you. You do this by calculating an estimate of your " body fat % ".
