Question No fruit=weight loss?

I've heard that cutting fruit out from your diet will result in losing weight, because it has sugar, when combined with a sugar-free diet. Is this true?

Sure, cutting anything from your diet could result in weight loss. Cut dairy out and watch what happens. Cut out cake and watch what happens

Fruit is good for you. Yes, it is sugar... but NOT the same sugar as processed white sugar. Two totally different beasts here. With that being said, fruit is generally a good fuel source in the morning/early afternoon hours. People generally agree that fruit later in the day raises the blood sugar a little too much for our culture (ie- most of us are non-active at night).

Cutting calories to a reasonable level and balancing nutritious foods is what leads to weight loss. Fruit has so many wonderful health benefits, and some fruits are quite high in fiber. So, keep eating your fruit.

I do agree though that later in the day is not the best time. Lower glycemic foods like green veggies and beans are better carb sources late in the day.
