I was the same with bread.
Shop around, Some breads have 5grams of protien per slice. Dont sound much but if you think that you may have 4-6slices a day so thats 20-30g.

you'll notice that the better carboydrate sources have a higher protein and fiber count than the more processed stuff. sure, its not the same as protein from animal or dairy but it doesn show a good carb source
