Splenda is fine in moderation....We can't remove EVERYTHING bad. Sure it's not the best for you but it helps you eat something healthy :-p

ok just to start here are some POSSIBLE side effects; some affect me such as gas, and depression LOL....jk (gas does still)

bloating
abdominal pain
gas, sometimes painful
nausea
heartburn
diarrhea
headaches
migraines (severe headaches)
heart palpitations (fluttering, irregular heartbeats)
shortness of breath
depression (LOL)
anxiety and panic attacks
spaced-out or drugged sensation (lol)
joint pain, especially in the knees
dizziness

phew....oh wait heres some more

lone atrial fibrillation
extreme fatigue
muscle weakness
tingling in the mouth or tongue
tingling in the fingers and hands
numbness in the lips and tongue
swollen lips and tongue
swollen face
redness or welts on the face
mouth sores
blurred vision
pain in the eyes

ok i think thats all. next, splenda is a chlorinated sucrose derivative used as an artificial sweetener. notice the word "chlorinated". that means it has chorine in it. chlorine is toxic in the human body; which is y u dont digest it; which is why it does not affect your blood sugar ect. its a threat to your body so your body doesnt actually see it as a food. so if you actually think about it, you'r not eating food b/c your body doesnt digest it like a food. .

also: Independent, Long-Term Human Research:
NONE. Manufacturer's "100's of studies" (some of which show hazards) were clearly inadequate and do not demonstrate safety in long-term use. they do not know the long term affects of splenda; they do not KNOW that it is safe.

dont be mislead b/c the manufacturer claims that the chlorine added to sucralose is similar to the chlorine atom in the salt (NaCl) molecule. That is not the case. Sucralose may be more like ingesting tiny amounts of chlorinated pesticides, but we will never know without long-term, independent human research.

it is clear from the hazards seen in pre-approval research and from its chemical contents that years or decades of use may contribute to serious chronic immunological or neurological disorders.

i guess if you use it once a week or month nothing will happen though

The only thing I have found that makes oatmeal taste bearable is mixing it uncooked into some yogurt. I hate the taste and teture of the stuff cooked.

Here's how I make mine.

Take 1.25 cp skim milk.
3oz frozen fruit of your choice (I like strawberries, blueberries and cherries).

put the fruit and 1/3 cp milk into a blender. Purree.

Pour into a saucepan. Wash the blender out with the remaining milk, pour it in.

Boil up your oats normally.

add 1 tbsp ground flaxseed.

Good stuff!

I add splenda too XD. I used to eat oatmeal with brown sugar and milk when I was little. It was like a huge treat for the family when mom would make oatmeal, so I absolutely love it!
