Yes, this is fine. Its the finer cut version of oatmeal.

Yes, adding in ground cinnamon is great!

If you have come to personal terms with artificial sweetners, you can add in splenda with the cinnamon, and this would taste good!

You can add raisins as well.

or

Just have a mix of Natural Peanut Butter (if you like NPB) and Oatmeal.

How much cinnamon is a good amount to add to 1 serving? It was just tastless mush to me.

that looks fine to me.

I eat oatmeal at least 4 days a week for breakfast. I always use splenda to sweeten, cinnamon and raisins. Sometimes I add cut apples or peaches for a change of pace.

I don't care honey myself but it does work also.

I don't know if anyone has tried this, but i cook the oats with some milk, then combine that with fat free/no sugar added yogurt(strawberry is my fav!). It is unbelievably good, I highly recommend trying it.

The cinnamon combined with Splenda would be much better than cinnamon alone. Oatmeal is already bland, so is cinnamon, you just need to sweeten it up a bit

I add a scoop of vanilla or chocolate protein powder to mine. Not only gives it flavor but also protein Also toss in some walnuts or almonds, dried apricots, raspberries for more flavor.

There's nothing wrong with quick oats, but I prefer steel cut oats. They have a lower glycemic index and much better texture IMO.

....the downside of steel cut is preparation time (about 30 minutes)

I don't have a stove so I just make the steel cut in the microwave. Not nearly as tasty but it only takes 3 minutes.
