Protein Consumption

I know if I were to say take 100 brams of protein at one time, I wouldn't get the full effect because so much would be thrown out by my system. The question is (in pounds) what is the typical ammount that should be taken, and in what intervals to maintain a good suppply?

protein

you want to be taking protein in in small amounts all through the day. you have an upper threshold amount you can deal with, in one go, and daily.

exceeding that is wasting that protein,. it'll go straight through you. ..small amounts in 5 or 6 sittings, so a little is constantly available for your body to use. aim at no more than 2g per Kg of bodyweight per day.

so if you're supposed to be consuming 140gm per day, ideally 35-40gm per sitting, spaced out evenly all day.

yea, take your total and divide it by the number of meals and try to have roughly that amount at each meal. not perfect but an idea

pre and post workout meals are important. if possible, time one of your normal meals and have it be pre and do a shake post.
