Protein shake for breakfast?

So, I plan on making a shake every morning with fruit and protein powder. Does this sound like a good idea?
Any suggestions or maybe some powder recommendations?
I am eating every 3-4 hours so I would have the shake at 6-ish and then something more substantial around 9-10.

Thanks in advance!

Shake in the morning sounds good, But I would suggest get some complex carbs in your first meal so they'll provide your body with some energy.
For example add some oats with the protein powder and maybe throw in a banana blend it all together. You might even add some natural PB that would add a significant amount of calories, so it depends on your goals, if you wanna gain or lose weight.
Everyone is praising Optimum Nutrition Gold Whey, I haven't tried it, but it has to be good.

yea, your idea sounds fine.

and ON whey is very great, extreme milk chocolate, delicious. The casein is even tastier IMO.

I recommend using the vanilla flavor. You can always change the flavor of that easily by adding chocolate syrup, fruit, or peanut butter.

As far as what brands to use, I usually buy the GNC brand whey.

Price for ON is up by 21% here.
I prefer to think of whey as a suppliment. Breakfast should be a meal made with food. Having whey as part of a good breakfast is a good thought.

Thank you guys! I bought the ON gold vanilla and they told me if I don't like it I can exchange it for another flavor.

Everyone I know thinks I am crazy for buying this. My husband and sister in law swear it will make me fat. This is bs, right? I mean it has very little carbs, fat, and calories. Whatever.

I guess we'll see.
