The relationship between HIIT and protein shakes.

I'm considering doing some weight training and then doint HITT afterwards, while looking towards losing weight. After I'm done at the gym, I drink a protein shake. I'm asking for whether or not the benefits of HIIT and the protein drink cancel eachother out.

Currently, I do weight trainings MWF and then do cardio after that, and have a protein shake afterwards. I'm thinking that that's fine because I do the cardio at a steady rate here for longer and already burn the calories so it's fine to have a protein shake. This is true, right?

Thanks.

Your body needs protein after a workout. Just try to keep control of the calories you are taking in. Right after a workout is the best time to take in the protein and carbs that you need. As long as your diet is in control, including the protein shake, you'll be fine.

Well you have to take into account any food that may raise your insulin (which some proteins can) before, during, or after exercise, will effect fat loss.
