the sugar in milk
hi, i really like to drink milk for it's protein and i like it's taste, but ive noticed that it has some sugar. would that sugar be bad for my fitness goal: a six pack???? ( i drink the 1% low fat, if that matters)
thanks

the sugar in milk is not the same as table sugar. Its lactose.
Don't worry too much about it, just consider the calories in the milk and you will be fine.

the great Arnold used to drink 2 quarts of milk as his post workout meal.
sure, he used gear, but even with gear your nutrition has to be spot on, or the steroids are almost useless.

the sugar in milk also replenishes muscle AND liver glycogen. plus research shows that casein and whey both get the job done in a post-training situation.

Due to cellular metabolism, Lactose is only significantly metabolized in the absence of glucose (table sugar)

Ohhhh...you can't just leave a statement out like that.
And actually, lactose is broken down into glucose and galactose anyway.
