Except every Pro IFBB bodybuilder, every amateur bodybuilder over 100kg lean, every competitive powerlifter, every strongman.

If I ate 140g of protein a day I would starve and my body would eat itself.
I completely agree. And have also tried this argument.

There are members of this forum that refuse to take into account practical knowledge and experience, or anything that is not "proven" by research.

+rep for practical experience.

Your right you would starve, unless the protein was just PART of the diet, which is obviously what were talking about

If the best marathon runners in the world swore by their creatine use, i suppose you would assume that it was the cause of their achievments.

sorry matt i am 145kg lean I think I know what it takes to pack on muscle, as do all the Mr. Universes that I know, etc.

You go eat your 140g a day and see how far you get, when you hit over 100kg lean please do tell me about it I would be very interested to see your diet and results.

no intent to debate, just trying to understand.... i am trying to work this diet thing and get ready for a traithlon event.

I ate a 1/2 pound of beef heart last night. Do you happen to know the protein count in that?
It says a gram of protein for each pound of lean mass. If you weight 193 lbs. I can guarantee that it is now all lean mass.
