| | | Turkey & Rabbit meat I'm suprised that more people don't seem to build it into their diet, eveyone always seems to talk about chicken, but turkey breast is even lower fat and normally quiet a bit cheaper. I hardly ever buy chicken any more and if I'm cooking for others they normally assume its chicken anyway!
One meat I don't eat so much of is rabbit as I don't have a good supply. Well there are loads of them bouncing round the fields where I live, but I can't be bothered to hunt them and skin them. It is however another meat with a low fat content and tastes great in a stew. Where I used to live my local butcher used to sell huge packs, already boned and filleted for £5, but sadly can't get them any more. Anybody eat much rabbit as part of their diet? |

| | | Yep game hunting is the way to go. Where I live there are alot of wild turkeys and some people on the estates get pissed off that they crap all over their nicely manicured grass at night time.
So we go and ask them if we can hunt their turkeys. I have gun and my friend a traditional long bow. Good meat as well although a bit tough at the moment for some reason. |

| | | Maybe I should get more on the case! As well as a low fat meat source, you can get exercise hunting them as well! |

| | | don't eat much rabbit because I think its so dry. But my oldest son, dad and I hunt them. I just give them to my dad. But I love wild turkey, duck, deer, bear etc. Great exercise chasing deer over several sections of land too.
Plus I catch all my own fish. I haven't bought fish in a store or a restaraunt in a long time. did you know that farm raised Salmon has a fraction of the Omega 3 compared to a wild fish. They feed the fish dog food pellets basically. The omega 3 comes from the baitfish they eat while in the wild.
Alewives, cisco, smelt etc.
I just had wild turkey on my salad a couple days this week. My buddy killed one and shared the prize a bit. LOL |

| | | I don't eat much Turkey because on the whole I think it tastes like crap but I've heard it's great as a high protein and low fat meat
I do like Rabbit but it's not exactly common around where I live |

| | | I love turkey. I don't eat processed deli meat, but we sometimes get whole turkey breasts or ground turkey breast. I've never had rabbit |
