Two Questions

1 - Where can I look on the web to find a list of the foods I should be eating to assist fat burning and weight loss?

2 - How many calories a day should be the maximum if I want to lose weight and burn fat?

How many calories you need depends on your height, age, weight, activity level... and that's just for starters. Here's a calculator.

A list of foods can be found in the sticky on the top of the "Weight Loss" forum. I think Theleip posted it there. There are a few good ebooks that have nice lists as well. PM me is you want to know a good one I recommend (not mine).

1. I would do some searching on this site for foods to eat. You want to eat whole natural foods such as chicken, fish, eggs, lean beef, brown rice, whole wheat breads and wraps, oatmeal, fruits, veggies, nuts, etc.

2. This is very individual for each person. We all naturally burn different amounts of calories each day based not only on our activity levels each day, but also our natural resting rate of calorie burn. The idea is to create a caloric deficit, while not making it so large that you send your body into starvation response, where it will be literally impossible to lose fat. So small calorie deficits through your nutrition is the name of the game, with added calorie burn through cardiovascular exercise.

To find your breakeven caloric intake, use a calorie calculater online such as http://strength-training-woman.com/cpd.html.

you cood probably stick to most of the foods u eat now just portion and time them better i.e. simple carbs with smaller portions and at breaky and straight after workout only...fats at night time in place of carb calories etc...the biggest problem are "diets"...it should be a nutrition plan cos as soon as u start starving urself, u'll go back to old habits and we no wat happens then...during leaning out phases, try increasing activity a little and decreasing cals a little instead of going full tilt on 1 or both...manage food don't avoid it
