those Steamers meals? They're in small bags with a mix of veggies, some have potatoes etc., Most have a sauce, but its low calorie. Are these decent to eat?

They are definitely a better choice than a lot of stuff. Depending on your goals, you might want to avoid potatoes, but for most veggies, the more the better. I don't really know about the sauces, but just so long as they are loaded with sugar and/or fatty oils, they are probably okay.

I haven't had a chance to look at the nutritional info. on them. But, unless you are sensitive to something like salt then they would likely be a pretty good way to include vegetables in your diet. Especially if it's likely that you would not otherwise. Fresh is generally best if that's an option.

Welcome from one Okie to another.

Red face

Thanks guys. I just asked because I just had one. They're easy to make and in small portions already.
My goal is, to lose my buldge , and tone. I am kinda in a rut though. I am lurking here for motivation. I have no access to a gym, until probably the beginning of the year. I'll give myself credit though, I have passed my original goal of being able to fit in a size 9. Before I moved here I lived in Texas, and worked out 5 days a week , cardio and weights, and went from a size 14 to a size 6/7, which is where I am now. Im 5'10. But, I just have flab... guess thats what happens when you have four pregnacies.
Anhow, Ive moved and I dont have my work out buddy anymore, and im just in a funk ..its hard to get out of. Ive been slacking on my diet some too. I have a huge sweet tooth.
I am anywhere between 138lbs and 143lbs, when I have a week of no willpower , and I bloat, IM in the 143
I guess I should make a siggy with my goals...
Im such a slacker lately.
Thanks for the responses

I'd be more concerned with the plasticizers (i.e., phthalates) in the plastic being released from the heat of the microwave (or boiling water) and then leaching into the food ...

You'll find plenty of motivation around here, trust me. You can get answers for just about anything, and everyone here is willing to help ya out. I don't know how you can do it, having four kids and still finding time! Thats hard for sure, but can be done.

Congrats on all your previous weight loss, that's some excellent progress you made. Don't be a slacker, you can achieve your goals if you stick with good diet and good training. Until you can get back in the gym, do some bodyweight exercises and get in as much walking or running as you can. You'll have to be creative. Diet is crucial though, don't let your sweet tooth get the best of you. Eat in a caloric deficit, combine it with some weight training, and you will lose fat!

I live in Gore, eastern Oklahoma right by lake Tenkiller. Although I did go to Oklahoma State back in the day. Nice to see another Okie lurking around here. What brought you to Oklahoma from Texas?

IMHO they're junk with the cheapest ingredient and saturated with preservatives and chemicals and coloring agents and whatnot. Clean food == natural food. I'm not saying eat only organic, but I don't think these are 'good' at all.
