I am interested in hearing about some of the bad injuries you guys and gals have suffered during your lifetime here is a list of some of the injuries i have had..theres a few so bare with me (the nurses at the local hospital used to know me by name when i went there)
Broken Both Arms each time i broke both bones ...Crashing a pushbike and falling out of a tree (the tree one was a compound fracture, the bone was poking out the skin...very gross).
Fractured Ankle in 2 places..also pulled the ligament off the bone, in a cast for 15 weeks also had to go through 6 months of physiotheraphy.
Ive had stitches in the back of my head..above both eyes..in my knee in my right index finger..and across my left wrist (i put my hand through a leadlight window and recieved 15 stitches as well as just knicking the tendon..lots and lots of blood)
there my injuries...the worst injury i have ever seen was my mate and i were BMX bike riding and he went over a jump and fell off and came down on his stunt peg on the back and it was like hollow and scooped out some the back of his calf and i could see his bone..very very gross.
I dont know what inspired me to make this thread i just find it interesting.
haha were do i start lol
knee reconstruction
dislocated knee
broken ankle
torn hammy 3x
broken fingers
broken toes
shin splints wif stress fractures
stress fractures in my foot
nerve damage in my sholder
and a few more
lol yes im accident prone and yes not all of them are too serious but they hurt lol
wow MeganL you sound like your very accident prone just like myself...oh thats right ive also been knocked out before...playing Rugby and slipping over in front of the kicker and his foot contacting with my foreheadi t was kind of a freak thing.
Where do I start? The injuries that spring immediately to mind are as follows:-
- cut my head open falling into a wall
- cut my leg open on a concrete step
- broke my collar bone AND dislocated my shoulder falling off a bike
- had my nose broken for me in a 'discussion' about a girl. lol
- broke my ankle jumping off a very high wall (drunk) and then ran home on it!!
- fell off a wall (drunk again) and broke my fall with my face (extensive dental surgery required!)
I could go on and on! Most of my serious injuries occured whilst under the influence of alcohol - I should really stop drinking!
nothing too bad 3 concussions from football, all mild, and a partially torn acl i got from a cutblock...which 8 months later i fully tore along with my mcl from my teammate missing a tackle and getting my leg...other than that nothing to bad
I was weak in the ankle and wrist. i was always spraining them in football. but no broken bones or anything.Just alot of black arms from bruises.
I was pretty active but i was one of those keep your eyes open kind of person.
I had done hiking without any injuires, Eagle Scout.
other then small cuts and bruises working on cars that is it for me.
The worst injury I've had believe it or not is about 6 stiches on my chin, maybe bruised ribs if you count that. I don't seem to hurt myself at all proportionately to the stupid/violent activities I engage in regularly.
The stitches on my chin were from getting uppercutted across the room (literally) by an angry neanderthal wearing a class ring and the bruised ribs were from trying to "fly" from one second-story rooftop to another and landing on my side on the cement sidewalk below.
