If you're not getting this sport in your country, you are seriously missing out.
It's the European Championship now, Norway is playing the semi finals against Russia. Damn, this is gonna be good. It's probably one of the best sports ever, specially when the women play, because Norway has many good looking players Besides, they need to be strong, and strong women = hawt.

Also, the tactics, what they do in order to create room and break through in the opponents defence are awesome to look at

We actually learned European handball in gym here (in elementary school, which is Grades 1-6).

It's a heck of a lot of fun, and you do need strength and endurance to play. But it is not very popular here, so it's hard to find a league to play in.

Is Spain a top seed in handball, or will Norway wipe the slate clean with them?

Spain has never ever been in any finals in handball what so ever.. BUT, they met Germany in the semi, and Germany is considered very good, but Germany probably thought it would be easy, and therefore they lost. Spain is good, even though they haven't been in the past. Spain is the only team that has taken points against Norway in the championship (they got a tie in the opening match)

Luckily the Norwegian coach (Marit Breivik) is awesome! She's an idol of mine. She always stays cool. It's so fun to see Norway to go half time being behind like 5 goals, and then come out after half time and just run over the opposing team. You just know that Breivik said just the right things in the locker room. She also makes sure they don't take a victory in advance. I think it's gonna be a good match today (final match is today) because Spain has a style of playing that Norway struggles with. Norways number one weapon are counter attacks (dunno what you call it in sports in English, but you get the point) but Spain is very good at running back to defend.

If we win though, you just gotta know it will be because of our goal keeper, we've always had the best goalies.. must be something in the blood, because they are so good it's scary.
Did I mention the pretty women?

We won the final! 33-21, if I remember correctly.

The Makedonians (the EM was held in Makedonia) didn't like Norway very much though, probably because the Norwegian supporters didn't let them put a flag over them (look at this pic: Gulljentene pepet ut av illsinte makedonere - sport - Dagbladet.no

They got really pissed when the Nor supporters stopped it.. wtf, they wanna watch the damn game, not be under a gigantic flag.

I prefer more muscle, but as long as the guy is in shape, has a sense of humor and can use his brain, that's pretty much all I require to fully respond
