Speaking for me, I WOULD LOVE to square off with another trainer---lets get it on brotha/sista. "Lets get ready to rumble!" I will give them a run for there money, he, he (JUST KIDDING!)
Seriously though:
I am speaking just in "general fairness" and level playing field.
If we can work it out and agree. I am all for it......agreeing is the key and essential thing here.
Best wishes,
Chillen

I don't want to train, I want someone to train me. Chillen how about it? Guide me through chillenism! lmao..
Seriously though, I think it'd be fine if the 'professionals' had a 'side pot' so to say. I'll judge the final outcome, but I'm unsure of how to set it up. I spend enough time 'training' evo, telling him to put the hostess cake down, step away from the champagne of beers, and go throw somethin.

Haha, you're funny. I mean, two people are getting free, quality coaching and the all-important moral support and external accountability, and you're worried that someone is going to complain about it being unfair? Np, just ban whoever's whining.
Imo, the prize is the journey, not the destination, as they say.
P.S. Please don't ban me. XD

LOL. Handing your mistress is a difficult task.
Seriously though:
Okay.........general feeling thus far........correct where wrong:
1. Trainers can go against another trainer? IF they are willing to volunteer there FREE TIME. (I think it WISE in the business sense any hoot).
2. Non-trainers go against non trainers.
3. However, lets not forget its really about the member with the goal, just leveling the playing field in WHOM the trainer is.
4. Mreik can referee/judge/supervise a group
Okay thus far?

I would be MORE than willing to offer my services for me - this sounds like a fun, awesome challenge, and a great way for someone new to the board (me) to get to know the members.

You see no quality problem in say for example: Tony (as trainer) with Big T as the goal person, VS. NOOB (as trainer) with Kraken as the goal person?
I do. We should attempt to prevent......blind leading the blind.....IMO. Its like setting rules in any GOOD competition.
Its like putting a featherweight against a heavyweight in boxing match.....disadvantage is obvious, but who knows...LOL.
IMO, we have to (to a degree) be concerned with "some" of the intial quality.....and the feeling of the receiver (at this point) is not relevent.
I am not saying THEY (or the participant) would complain (if I was recieving it, I wouldn't of course.)
But, I am making this point, to expose any weaknesses......

Suggestions on my previous post, Focus?

How about we see who wants to train and go from there.. No need making a decision if it doesn't come to that
Trainers:
Tony
Chillen
Jaim

I agree, with Mreik. Which would point to the original post that I made today.
Those that want to be trainers, make it known in a post, so we can collect names and make a list.
Good point, boss.
Additionally, those that have goals and want to be the goal person (and want to be assisted in their goal) please post specifiying so. This way we can collect names, and make a list.
I know we have some now. So, sign up. And we will review and make updated lists.
Mreik:
Final lists.....go where?
Competition set go where?
(read my first post--TODAY-- on suggestions I made, and let me know what you think, please)
I will quote it here for your convenience:
Quote:
1. We need to obtain an accurate list of who wants to participate as the person working toward a goal.
Goals are to be "plainly understood".
2. From this list, we need to learn which forum members have simular goals and do our best in pairing them.
We have to weigh the differences (equipment availability, etc) to make this as fair as possible.
3. We need to obtain an accurate list of (non-professional trainers, and I dont need to explain this do I?), that are going to be partnering with each participating person. With 1 and 2 in mind, we then can get an idea if we have "enough" persons involved to attempt to make this work.
Example:
A. Trainer (and I think we understand this term in the context of our topic)
1. Chillen
2. etc...
======================
B. Members with goals participating: (concisely defined)
1. Dallen
2. JDie
3. Big T
4. Kraken
5. etc...
================================
C. Members paired in competition:
1. Kraken V Big T
2. etc.........
Define......start and end dates.
================================
ALL names are out in the open.
A. Define the rules of engagement "specifically", and get it nailed down so everyone understands and agrees.
From refining comments in this thread, we can then make a "sticky" thread (or what ever we agree to), and place this info in there........all nice and neat, concise, and LOCKED......no comments allowed, other than adjustments by admin/mods through agreed changes/implementations.
If we go the journal method, each pairing forum member has a simular graphic in the subject line to assist with defining who is partnered with who.
and/or
We can put this in the "sticky" suggestion or separate thread on its own (suggestions here?)
EDIT: I do have a fear of the numbers not being even--enough--to provide equal pairing, and someone being left out of the competition set between the goal members, and enough trainers in the pairing.
We just have to see how the numbers turn out and see how it develops.

I also thing trainees should start a journal, if they don't already have one so that they can be held (cyber)accountable by the friends and trainers

I'm interested in training, but i'll be a challenge to whoever wants to take me on.
Hotel gyms and airport food are not easy catalysts for progress, i'm welcoming anyone who wants to cater to that though! PM if you're willing to deal with it.

I'm totally game!
Let's do it! I'm on my current cycle for at least 8 weeks (doing it with my girlfriend and a buddy, so can't give up on them) - but I'm down. Any input is welcome! http://training.fitness.com/weight-l...ine-34378.html

I was hoping for the 1st Annual World Fitness E-Partner Lottery Draft...
The only thing I see is that we wont have enough trainers. It seems we will have an overwhelming response for people who want in as participants. Also this is now becoming a challenge between trainers, something along the lines of a Physique Clinic. I dont really like that idea.
It should be more about the participants who are trying to reach their goals, not which trainer can have a better group, ya know?
