So Dasha went to ths hypnotization guy tonight, a two hour group session. Before she went she was claiming how well it worked (not knowing anyone who's done it) and now that she came back shes talking how this guy is great and stuff. Sounds more like brainwashing to me, she was giving body cleansing pills that can help you lose up to 18 lbs. She has a reinforcement cd that she needs to listen to, and needs to chew each piece of food 30 times so that she eats less. The only problem is Dasha doesnt eat enough. Anyone believe in this, because I dont!

Not only do I just not buy this stuff, I also find it to be a tad creepy. But thats just me. What's wrong with just setting some goals and working out?

well it has woked for many,but i think if she has to ruin her internal system why not give a try to any low carb or atkins for instance a try?
atleast anything is better than messing up with your brains and body.

I think its wrong to call it hypnosis when really its just mental therapy.
Its just relaxing and someone giveing you a motivationonal talk. you dont get hypnotised.

Its more like going to see a shrink. It can help you if you are open to it, but yeah its a waste of money.

I went for hypnotherapy to get me off the smokes a couple of years back.

Walked out feeling really relaxed and thoroughly looking forward to having a cigarette.

I have a friend that does hypnosis for a variety of reasons. And my old lifting partners step dad was a smoker until he went to a hypnotherapist. He stopped cold turkey and hasn't smoked in 2 years now after going a few times. I think it can help some people but I dont think its usually a magic bullet.

Having said that, the body cleansing pills and most of that other stuff sounds like some trendy crap just meant to take peoples money.

Ya basically what Ive been telling her was retold to her by this guy. Eat breakfast, drink lots of water, dont eat crap, and eat 2000-2200 calories a day.

Why is it that wives and girlfriends never listen?
Anything they want know we can tell them or find out within 24hours for free, Yet they have to pay someone to believe it!!!

its ok u can hate all u want, however, i will admit that its been three days now, and i feel great, i have not wanted/craved any of the foods, i was hypnotized not to eat, and everything else that came with the hypnosis is working out just wonderfully.
As far as the pills are concerned, i was in no way coerced in to buying them, i was simply told to go and buy them as part of the program at any local drug store or GNC, and if i wanted to, i could buy them at the session itself.
more over, about listening to our husbands/boyfirends...i dont think that this is a one sided situation, perhaps men should listen more too, i bet there would be a lot less "situations" if this were to occur.
