People who don't know any better?
You're hilarious! I'm think I'm in one of those "moods" tonight where it wouldn't take much to send me over the edge
I seem to spend most of my time there anyway ...

athlete apparel should be worn in the gym. t-shirts, tank tops, sweat shirts, sweat pants, knit/mesh shorts, etc.
rivets in jeans and some other styles will indeed punch right through the pads on benches.
my gym does not allow jeans nor open toed shoes/sandals.

I've seen those at the gym I go to. It looks hilarious.
But the thing that slays me the most are guys wearing white socks and SANDALS. In the gym.

I know. It's completely idiotic. I'm not even sure it's allowed in our gym. We don't have any "rules" posted because I think the owner assumes if you're in his gym, you already "know the rules" ...

****, I wear Fox racing shorts half the time. The half I don't need to use my legs for anything, obviously.
And I will punch the first fool who tells me this is not appropriate!
Also, whycome that chick's bum looks like a boy's bum.

This is not appropriate, Focus. You need to wear spandex shorts.

It's an ugly bum -- a non-existent bum -- a useless bum. An "I've got a flat-ass" bum.
Not to mention the anorexic cigarette legs. I wouldn't buy the jeans based on the ad ...

I don't hit girls. Lucky for me, the jury's still out on whether you count as one.
Also, ftr, I wear compression stuff under shorts, pretty much always. Because, like you, I love the way it feels. I've actually somehow managed to wear through 3 pairs in the last two months (sweat has pH of 4? wtf) I be like, "2XU? Wut!? moar compreshun!"
