For a start your first 2 sentences here contradict each other. It may well be sad and desperate behaviour but sex dolls have been around for a very long time and I've never heard of a link between sex dolls and sexual crimes. I find it extremely hard to find a connection there.
And secondly, the guy would only be doing to the doll what was already in his head. Would this not be a good why to allow the man to gain release in that way rather than to have it build up inside him to the point where he might commit a sex crime?
