So, hay, go outside and look up right now (I'm sitting on a park bench) and you will see what the moon looks like during a complete lunar eclipse.
Obviously, it's not terribly exciting if I'm bored enough to pull out my notebook, but it's still pretty neat. |

| | I got to see it. I've seen one or two in the past. I've also seen a 75% solar eclipse about 14 years ago, through a nice telescope with the proper filters.
solar is a little cooler, but lunar happens more often and doesn't require fancy tools to view.
I tried to take photos the other night, but I did not plan in advance and didn't know how to use manual focus mode, but did have my light settings for outdoor night mode at least.
pretty sure they're all blurry tho  |
