| | | Hey! What about Germany? I go for Brazil because they have the best players nowadays starting off with Ronaldinho, Kaka, Adriano, etc. I can't figure another team beating them. Here's my ranking:
-Brazil
-Germany
-Italy
-Argentina
-England
-Holland
-France
-Spain
Despite my team Uruguay couldn't make its way to Germany, I will enjoy this upcoming world cup a lot. I think we're gonna see the best matches in a long time. Brazil, Germany, Argentina, and England have great teams for this world cup. Holland is doing great too, but you know, they have never won and they've had their chances, so maybe they don't have what it takes to become a world champion. I hope I'm mistaken though, as I would love to see them win. I can't wait till it starts off!

| | England probably have the best set of players we've had since 1966/70. If we can gel as a team we can challenge Brazil (and if they have a bad day maybe evan win ) It might help if we selected a captain who could, well, lead. At the moment we've got "the most famous sportsman in the world", as our media like to call him, old golden balls (Beckham).
We should have Gerrard or Terry. Probably Gerrard, he's had the experience of captaining a massive club, and winning the biggest club trophy.
My top four, and probably in this order would be
Brazil
France
Argentina
England
I recon the darkhorses will be Serbia and Montenagro (sp?). They could surprise some people.
I can't wait either, it's gona be the greatest show on earth, beats the olympics anyday |

The way to win tournaments these days is to have a strong team with a well organised defence and a clever manager- ie. Porto, Liverpool, Greece.
England could win it if they had an attitude of being an underdog and tried to grind out results Greece style but they wont. England, France, Spain, Holland, Argentina, Portugal and Italy do not have a chance. Trust me... |

| | | im hoping that Holland would finally put its ass in gear and show what they're made of. i myself am from holland and i know they have what it takes, it's just a question of mentality which a lot lack. and the way of play.. they like ball possession and field position a lot so you'll see them with the ball a lot, but they create not a lot of chances at the moment which is stupid coz they have some good attackers such as Van Nistelrooy, Makaay, Huntelaar, Kuyt and Robin. it's a young team that can grow in a tournament. so i hope to see them to well. Argentina (in the same group) would give them a run for their money and if they could put down a good result there then they'd have a pretty good chance to get to the final. |

| | | Eriksson strikes me as an incrediable intelligant manager who is brillant at man managment. I think he's too easy towards to media and fans sometimes. He should stick with his plan and tactics. He's paid four million quid a year to manage, so let him do it his way, the best way. |

| | | Greece will be watchin from home. Greece's recent success was a copy of Italy's catenaccio style of the 1960's it could work once but not always. Liverpool and Juventus though are 2 perfect examples of what a well balanced team should look like to win a competition like the world cup.

| | | Every year people expect Spain to do well and they fail miserably so I'm going to put a few bob on them. They have to come good sometime.
And I'm slightly biased being a liverpool supporter...
England have one of the best teams on paper but their manager picks the team then the formation. Joe Cole aint a winger same as Cisse aint a winger! And what the point of playing Beckham behind Gerrard and Lampard? He completely takes arguably 2 of the best midfielders out of the game!
New manager required!
