Boxing any good?

So, my tredmill is awaiting repair because something happened in the innards that I have no idea how to fix.

I cannot get on it for anywhere from 3 days to a week.

So, I decided to combine taebo with some boxing . In a half hour I was sweating like I do on the tredmill (well almost).

I just wanted to know if boxing really is good for an excerscise.

Yeah. Boxing is great exercise. I know how to box, but never actually do it, since I don't really like violence. What a mess huh?

You are a true paradox, Nobody.

Anyways, you wanna make sure you don't just go for an hour or whatever straight. A lot of cadio kickboxing classes will just go on forever, and don't expect yourself to keep up. Rest is good for your workout, so stop every so often for a min or two and get some water.

I don't actually have a punching bag though...haha. I should get one and combine running and boxing.

If you are capable of shadow boxing-Especially if you have a puching bag with bag gloves- your treadmill is obslolete. Kickboxing is way more fun more intense and more effective in every way. Put that treadmill on the lawn and enjoy the new world of kickboxing.

Rounds are good. Taking little breaks so you can go in more intense and make it more anaerobic but a long single workout is great too. or between rounds you can quickly lift weights or do pushups or situps or do one round of boxing or kicking and one round of weights or a billion other things. The only time I ever use a treadmill is if I am recovering from sickness or injury and I want to take it easy for a few days to get back in the groove.

Have fun buddy. Way to go
