Smile Swim. Sugestions/Help?

I'm wanting a good cardio work out. I've been running but it is super hot and I have a pool so I figure why not swim insted. I've started by just swiming laps back and forth and then sometimes just swimming the area of the pool. I have no idea really what to be doing. I was wondering if anyone could help me with a good routine/work out.

here is one I have always liked.....

swim up and back, get out do 10 burpees
back into pool
swim up and back, get out do 10 pushups
back into pool
swim up and back, get out do 10 jumping jacks
back into pool
swim up and back, get out do front plank(10 count) side plank(10 count, other side plank (10 count)
back into pool
Swim up and back, recover/hydrate

all that equals 1 set

do 3 sets.

then you can start timing yourself, and try to improve your time

BELIEVE ME-- the cardio is there, when you get good at it, you will find the swim time is the recovery time.

Good Luck

Any time you involve yourself with water, the first rule is to learn how to float with your head out of the water and airways clear to breathe. As silly as that sounds, some people just jump in and end up getting killed cause they're too exhausted or get sucked by a rip current. Even in a small pool, knowing how to float is vital.
