P90x, is that more for cardio and burning the fat away.
Is it good for building muscle.

What's your whole opinion about it?

You don't need any fancy machines.

Free weights + Running, walking, jump rope, hill sprints etc......

Looks like a waste of money to me. infomercials are basically commercials that pretend not to be.

Oh, you mean mix my training up?! Well worth the money.....NOT!

The two reasons I actually get excited now when I see a p90x infommercial on tv is because I know it works and I know half the people in the infommercials and I can personal testify that those success stories are real because I have witnessed them.

The infommercial is formatted just like any other informmercial so its really difficult to tell which ones are genuine and which ones are just a scam. p90x certainly isnt a scam. It isnt for everyone, but its for me.

agreed. this may be my forum, so slightly biased, but i have never prescribed to any of that kind of garbage.

i believe in protein supplements and that's about it. the rest can be accomplished on your own .. if you can't do it on your own, then you will become dependent on products ... real waste of money.

Speak for yourself, to those including myself who like the motivation the products gives its certainly not a waste of money.

If you are going to decide to watch an infomercial or a company selling a product: "Always View Though Educated Eyes".

This can prevent poor purchases and improve the odds on making a good purchase.

I think this is one of a million types of ways to achieve great fitness. If you enjoy it, then do it. All you need is a stimulus...

P90x is kind of a hyped-up version of cross-training...

As a trainer, I have nothing bad to say about this. I have heard great things and have even tried some of the workouts myself. I will admit he has some good ones! It is good for anyone that needs to have a structured workout designed for them and is really willing to stick with it since no one is checking up on you.

Watching the videos does get you motivated for a while. Eventually you get get sick of the host and just download the P90X workouts in .pdf format on the internet.

Buying Reebok pushup bars is a good investment. I used them a lot while travelling as they were portable.
