Yes, I have this "thing" about white sugar or any "forms of it" like the commercially available brown sugar.
Its partly based on health things, but mostly based on controlling the "little things" that effect when/how much (etc) Insulin is secreted or blood sugar is elevated.
Removing this widely available and used item (and controlling carbohydrate intake), gives me more control of my food (and blood sugar) and some degree of control over this sometimes misunderstood hormonal
FRIEND (as Insulin assists to shuttle in necessary nutrients and opens cells up), and sometimes hormonal
FOE (because Insulin can be a storage hormone, and can hurt fat loss). So yes, to a degree (and dependent on the position of my diet and goals), I am concerned with forms of sugar and carbohydrates.
