So i'm using the summer to try and put on some muscle, but with the Basketball season over i'm really noticing the effect of not doing much Cardio exercise when i do play.
I want to try and keep a decent level of cardio for the new season but also do need to put on muscle, so what would people recommend for this? Would HIIT on my off days be best?
any form of cardio. Since you don't care about fat loss, do what benifits you the most in your activities, like, do you want to keep your "basketball cardio" up? If so, do cardio that will benifit you in your basketball game.
And cardio won't negatively affect your bulk, as long as you remember to eat more since cardio burns energy.
Do you mean for the summer? There isn't really much going on, i play down the park when its nice enough but there's nothing structured going on at the moment.
I live in England btw!
Thanks for the replys! I'll try and do some form of cardio on my off days thanks.

I have a similar situation but I didn't want to post a new topic since it kind of fits this one. Hope you don't mind Mavs.
I'm 5'7, 125 lbs, and I'm trying to bulk. I've been walking/running with my friend who is trying to lose weight. It's about a 45 minute walk with occassional sprints, because we read somewhere on msnbc it's more effective to do that over a constant jog. Anyway. Is this okay for me? I've doubled my caloric intake and we usually walk/run to a store where I will buy a protein bar and drink.
