Help! I ran a lot more last night than I ever have in my life and I found towards the end my inner thighs were chaffing. It was so bad that when I was trying to do my cool down walk last night I couldn't walk right. I was doing some sort of waddle in order to not let my legs touch. lol This morning it still hurts and is very raw and red. What can I do to prevent it? and What can I do now to make it stop hurting? I put some Vasiline Cocoa Butter lotion on it this morning. Is there any kind of powder that will help or do I need to start wearing spandex shorts under my mesh shorts?
I bought myself some Underarmor brand underwear that fit like spandex and come halfway down my thigh. I absolutely love them. You will not get any chaffing wearing these under your shorts.
Another option would be to apply vasaline or some other lubricant before your run.
"Glide" is a good brand of "slippy" it won't leave your crotch all greasy lookin.
Found at the bike or running, or swimming section. Throw it under your arms too.
on races I will throw a gob of vaseline down yonder, but only for races.
