Well, I tried a pair of New Balance as I heard they were good. Guess I picked the wrong pair or they aren't made for my type of stride cause they really hurt my foot. Ended up with some Brooks running shoes - best money I ever spent.
I have tried almost everything and enjoyed quite a few of them! I had Asics runners for 3 years, then tried a pair of Adidas...they were great...but this year's model had a much stiffer last, not super for street running, so I ended up with some Nikes...these guys are REAL SLIPPERS and give awesome support (ZOOM air)! Wow!!! Try them!
Asics all the way. The most comfortable brand that I have. I tried most of all the other major brands, but Asics are durable and most important comfortable. I have a very wide foot but have never had a problem with fit.
I love my Asics Gel-Kayanos - I have owned two pairs, the VII and VIII. These are great stability shoes for high mileage runners, and I had nothing but good luck and comfort with them. As with running shoes, each is for a different type of foot and purpose. But for my purposes, these were EPRFECT. Give them a try!
