| | | Good Songs I was wondering what are some good songs to run to. I also got an Ipod Nano for Christmas. I know I have to listen to music in order to run. I just was wondering what are everyone's favorite songs to run to. I know it is a personal preference but I am sure some songs inspire people. Let me know. |

| | I _heart_ my nano! If I'm on the treadmill I like music that I would otherwise sing along to, because it distracts me from the monotony. Catchy top 40 pop or cheesy 80s. Some recent hits I just added to my mix with a good workout beat are Nelly Furtado, "Maneater" and Play N Skillz "Get Freaky". And if you are a South Park fan, I recommend Eric Cartman singing "Come Sail Away" or "In the Ghetto" - they are not fast paced, but everytime they pop up on my playlist I hear something new that makes me chuckle. (I think I may be a bigger dork than RedT...) |

Also lately i dig Anthem by superchick (the best of the list), pure, one girl revolution, stand in teh rain and we live.
go to shapemagazine.com also they have playlists they reccomend everymonththat spice things up. |

| | | Sure there are some songs just about everyone can workout to, but in general, everyone adheres to what they like!! I personally would go nuts trying to run to metal, and even most rock, whereas the last poster prolly kicks ass with it...
With that said, I like REAL hip-hop, not radio BS, and some other randomness. |

| | | The sports background I have gave me an affinity towards jock jams and such. I have a specific jock jams that pretty much is the exclusive "running" CD for me, if you hear it I'm running go away. Also venture into techno depending on the time of day when I run(Towards evening tends to be more techno oriented.) and otherwise its emotion based for me. I'm having trouble NOT buying an Ipod since the current facility I am at is public and has no music access like my boss's office. So it really depends. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
