If running is too hard on your body, is this an alternative for you?

I have been working for 2 years to provide low impact exercise benefits to people. This started out as an attempt to provide a low impact, high intensity substitute for running because several women I knew were injured from running.

The long version of this story is in a post I made in the "New Member Intro"

http://training.fitness.com/new-memb...ned-39945.html

The shorter version of the story is that for now I'm having to give up on the high intensity version of the technology that I have developed for reasons I can't go into without divulging the secret to how my idea works.

But I have developed a product that will allow people to burn 25% to 40% more calories while walking. These numbers come from doing VO2 testing (measuring oxygen intake) on a prototype that I paid to have developed.

The prototype is an add-on product you strap onto your feet/shoes with a binding. After soliciting a lot of feedback I found out people don't want this extra product on their feet. They want shoes that have the same functionality so they can be fashionable and more comfortable. With increased fashion and comfort people would be able to wear these not only for dedicated exercise walking, but while doing day-to-day things like working, running errands, etc.

This could result in losing several pounds per year without spending any time doing it.

I'm looking for feedback on this idea. I have a survey at

Exercise Shoes Market Survey

You feedback will help us understand potential customer preferences and may help make the case to potential investors to help me fund the work necessary to integrate my technology into shoes.

Thanks in advance to anyone who fills out the survey.
