My body does not like jogging...
gday all, yes i no it seems like im posting in nearly every section i can find, well i kinda am so meh..
anyways, me and a couple of mates decidied to get into a jogging routeen, so i went a couple of times. well what can i say the next day i nearly died!
every time i go jogging, the next day i seem to come down with a cold/flu. we wernt running all that far, (max about 2km) or going at a hard pace. it just seems to put ALOT of stress on my lungs. Cycling ive got no probs with, can ride a bike all day long without feeling it!
i have no idea why this is happning, its not as if i have week lungs, i am a classical singer!! any suggestions?
oh one more thing, how do u prevent shin splints?

I'm not sure but isnt that about a mile that you're running?
Maybe you could try losing some weight before you start going, ride your bike alot to build up the muscles in your legs or alternativly go the gym and do some leg work.

make sure you dont freeze, if its cold, put on chlotes. if you jog when its raining or cold outside it could cause you to get a flue.. also be sure that the first thing you do when you get home is take your chlotes off, walking around in underwear wet from sweat can make you sick fast, so get home, get ur chlotes off and take a shower, if you stretch first thats fine offcource.

Influenza is a viral infection, the common cold is a viral infection.
Being cold and outside with no clothes does not cause anyone to catch a cold or flu.

are you seriuos? Go naked outside the whole day when it's freezing, trust me you'll get sick. Yes you seem to know that getting sick is caused by viruses, our immune system protects against viruses and other microbes, our immune system is compromised when our body needs to use large resources to keep itself warm.
