need help working out min/km for run
Please help me work out a 3.67km run in the time of 18min 06secs.
Do you need to convert the time into a different unit before dividing it out?
Ta!
Ben

Thanks for the reply but what I'm after is just a simple calculation of min/km.
example...
total run km = 2.48
total time = 12mins 23secs
therefore, my min/km = 12:23 / 2.48 = 4.93?
4.93 this is where I'm confusing myself. I am wanting to calculate in terms of time, I don't want 4(.93) - seconds go to 59 then turns into minutes. Holy cr@p am I confusing or what?!! I think basically, what I'm asking is what is 4.93 converted into mins and seconds?

Here is your formula:
(Number of minutes in whole numbers + seconds/60)/(number of km)
So,
12 + 23/60 = 12.38
12.38/2.48 = 4.99 min/km
