Rowing Problems

Do you find that when you row for an extended periods of time, your hip bones hurt because you've been sitting on such a raw hard surface for a long period of time?

I find i'd have to stop rowing because my ass hurts so much from sitting on the seat. Am i rowing with a bad form or something? Help!!

You might be C-ing your back. Make sure you're keeping your chest out and your lower back in and sitting up nice and tall. This is commonly a problem with women and younger rowers, as the muscles required to stabilize the spine aren't strong enough. Most likely though, you just don't have enough padding. You can buy seat pads here: https://www2.concept2.com/VIA/index.jsp

What is your definition of "extended periods of time"? Are you one of those who get on one machine for hours on end. I find workouts better if you have a variety rather than doing the same thing for a long time.
