Runners, Show off your resting HR
That's right, what's your resting HR? Go ahead, show off!
I'm a new runner and mine was 56 in bed this morning. That's not bad is it?

Mine is about 60. FWIW, I wouldn't consider myself a super-conditioned runner, but I'm definitely in better shape than most of my friends. I probably would have a lower resting pulse rate if I wasn't such a big fan of caffeine.

just after I wake up in the morning, still lying in bed, I usually get 50-55 HR. I'm not a runner though.
It would be more if I tried to take it at some random times I'm sitting down throughout the day.

I take a decongestant as needed this time of year for my sinuses (maybe every 2-3 days) I wonder if it would be a little lower without that in my system.

42 is incredible, especially since it wasn't even when you first woke up!
Mine is in the very low 50s.

mine is 43-44. I check it every other morning to watch for signs of overtraining.

when you are measuring a heart rate that low it is better to just do it for the whole minute!
