Running Downhill Technique

I do some trail running as cardio after my workouts and have read and been told different techniques for running uphill and down. Uphill I lean into the hill and pump my arms higher. Downhill I'm not so sure. I realize the stress on my knees much more and I'm not sure if I should let it fly or hold back? Any opinions?

Hi there...
The impact on your joint whilst running down hill is increased significantly. It's best to keep it slow and controlled, this prevents those heavy jolts running up through your legs.
