| | | Shoe Size Hi guys, im sorry to post about something that might seem really trivial, but any advice would be great cause it is causing me concern. I got a new pair of running shoes, they have great support for me, i spent quite alot of money on them aswell. I tried them on in the shop and they felt fine but im probably guilty of being to hasty and when i got home it seems like they might be slightly on the large side. Basically i know the general rule is about a thumbnail space between your toe and the end of the shoe, i probably have about a thumb nail and a half. Sorry if this seems totally neurotic but do you think this could make much of a difference? it'd be quite inconvinent to get back to the shop any time soon as its far away from me so was just wondering if this should be something to be concerned over or not! |

| | | It really depends on whether or not this is affecting your enjoyment and your performance. If the shoes are not comfortable then I would take them back.
If the shoes feel fine and you can run in them without slipping around etc then I would keep them. Feet do swell if you run long distances. |

| | | Feet also swell up in the afternoon.
And yes, if you can run in them for awhile with no problems and no slippage, it should be good. Try them, it's the only way to know for sure whether they fit. |

| | | I just tried out my Asics 2130 that were fitted for me at a running store and I have exactly 1 thumb width, but I use these for triathlons and don't wear socks, so 1.5x thumb width might be more accurate for me sans socks. Did the salesclerk size these for you? If so, I would go with their recommendation.
Shoe sizing and fit is not trivial. |

| | | Cheers for the replys guys, Yeah i got them fitted in the store, the clerk didnt seem to concerned he just said the amount of room you have is down to personal choice and like you guys have said that as long as you weren't slipping around in them then it should be ok. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
