i think its more about coordination. not so much for running faster etc.
if thats what you meant?

Went to my GP today and he said do not skip on dodgy knees...Bit of a shame , hate it but love it. Low impact for me.

I don't know about running faster, but it can definitely help with changing direction and quickness.
