building muscle

Im 16 5'9" and about 140 lbs and i want to get big. Im pretty skinny and have really low body fat. Im thinking about taking creatine or protien which would be best and if i took these would i still keep a low body fat and stay toned?

if you're just begining working out, i would suggest just protein. when i found out about creatine i waited until i hit my first wall (when you stop gaining weight & strength) and it gave me a jump. & protein is just always good to have

i agree with mreik, at your age you can do fine without the creatine. while a protein supplement can help, its not as important as total protein intake over the course of the day.

The very first rule of thumb- If you're not getting enough protein, you shouldn't be considering anything else.

In fact, creatine should be the last thing on your list.
