Question Considering adding a fat burner to my diet...

Hi

Was thinking of getting some supplements to aid me as I'm trying to cut body fat. Currently train 4/5 times a week with a mixture of weights and cardio. I have modified my diet and now stay away from chocolate and bad fat foods -not that I ate a lot of them anyway. I eat a good breakfast, light lunch (protein based), snack 1hr before training, whey protein shake post workout then healthy dinner. If not full I like to have a Casein shake with pint milk before bed.

I am finding it hard to lose weight around my lower stomach. My main problem is that during the week I am super healthy and train religiously however, at the weekend I tend to go mad and have quite a few pints of beer and maybe a Chinese or two. I also don’t get a great deal of sleep.

I am trying to cut down on the mad weekends but would like to consider taking a fat burner to help metabolise more fat. I was recommended Thermobol from Maximuscle and also synerphine to maximise the effects. What's your opinion on these supplements? I would have always been against fat burners as most of them are packed with caffeine and other crap. I don't want something to necessarily suppress my hunger as I can easily cope with my current intake and don't want to train whilst on a calorie deficit.

Any advice is greatly appreciated as always

You are 8 pounds away from your goal, surely you can man up and finish off those pounds without the assistance of a "Pill".

It doesn't sound like you know exactly how many calories you're eating each day...?
Doesn't sound like you eat 6 small meals a day either.

Fat burners only work when EVERYTHING in your diet is correct. The fact that you "...don't want to train whilst on a calorie deficit." means you don't understand that food intake controls fat loss or gain. You need to be on a calorie deficit if you intend to shed fat at any appreciable rate.

A pill can't make up for drinking beer all weekend. It just not gonna happen.

Couldn't agree more. You'll find that a lot of people who post here frequently train whilst on a calorie defecit. Simply put, you need to consume less fuel than you burn to lose weight but, the defecit needs to be a healthy one (+/- 500 calories).

You need to sit down and work out exactly how many calories you should be consuming to be at a healthy defecit and add some more meals to your diet by the looks of it. You should certainly not be looking at metabolisers as a solution.

Like these guys said only take a fat burner if your diet is in good shape. I personally take Lipo 6, it also contains synerphine. Its a very good protect and works. it will help you eliminate that belly fat just avoid drinking those pints. You can have 1 cheat meal per week make that chinese if you want.

Taking a lot of supplements like Lipo-6 personally helps motivate me. I'm paying all this money for supplements and so I think to myself if I cheat and eat this pizza or whatever i'm just throwing my money away on all these expensive supplements. So i don't cheat. So either way good luck but fat burners do work and really help.
