fat burner

How safe are fat burners? I just got Instone's Leanfire but now I'm having second thoughts about using it. Is it bad for your heart?

The question is not so much how safe they are.. more like how effective.. if at all.

Fat burner pills pretty much make your heart aggresive to lose weight bringing your heart rate up, or pack immense amount of caffiene(sp?) where you'll be bouncing off walls all wired up. This boost of energy does not last, but you'll soon experience loss of sleep, fatigue and maybe some stomach pains.

I'd say if you can stand your heart pumping like a hydraulic pump left constantly on then go for it.

Although alternatives is sucking it up and going on a good scrumptious eating diet.. a nice feel like the wind cardio workout... and some replenishing weight training. All you, you'll never know til' you try the pills BTW.

Umm.. I didn't see where the OP said anything about doing nothing and 'will they work'.. he could very well be working out and doing cardio and is wondering if fat burners would enhance his progress further. Ever thought of that?

Grow up.. and in the meantime of that process get the fu(k off this forum.

Some people have it harder than you.. what are you skinny? Some people have hard time losing weight because there body will not allow it. There metabolism won't be as fast, so for some its a hard struggle. You think your fit, or have the ideal body? You aignt got fu(king sh!t. After reading this you little sh!t take your hand, extend it, and slap yourself b!tch.

Hey, the OP here. I've been working out for 3 months doing 20 min cardio 3~4 days a week with HIIT once a week (used to be 3 times but cut down the frequency b/c it had a negative impact on the rest of my day and also made me not want to do cardio. Rationale is that regular cardio is better than no cardio). In the meantime, my body fat went from 20% to 19%. It's taking longer than I thought so I am looking to accelerate this process. To preempt your question, I want to accelerate the process b/c I will be starting work in September where I will be putting in insane hours so I want to have already built up a decent body by then.

What is your diet like? -1% is within the margin of error. After 3 months you should be much further along.

I've read good things about Leanfire, just make sure your diet is in line before you start using it or you might as well be popping those [failed] Sacagawea dollar coins in your mouth.

Don't worry about it EM, you didn't exactly hurt my feelings, lol.

My diet is usually cereal and yogurt in the morning at around 8 am, a tuna salad, chicken caesar wrap/salad or pasta for lunch around 2:30 pm, and something similar for dinner around 7 pm with occasional Indian food or Chinese food (I know this can't be the best but I don't eat much of the rice). I have a powerbar between breakfast and lunch, protein shake after workout and when I get hungry at night I might have a few slices of cheese. I drink mostly water, skim milk, and coffee every morning. I also eat egg whites between lunch and dinner when I get hungry. My guilt is the bubble tea that I often get. I dunno what's in there but I do ask for non-sugar.

If you want to lose weight you need to put together a diet for losing weight.. not a 'if i.. then i...' you eat cheese late at night? saturated fats man!
If you want, post up your actual diet and we can pick it apart.

Thumbs down

I don't mean to flog a dead horse as Brahma said it all and the necessary apology has been made but, EliteMarine, what were you thinking? This is the supplements section so, it stands to reason that people will come here and ask questions about supplements. They should reasonably be able to do so without fear of insults from people like you.

You quite rightly pointed out that you hadn't been aware of all the facts before you posted so, here is a suggestion for you: if you don't have anything positive to contribute, please do not contribute anything at all.

And referring to other forum users as 'kids' probably won't win you too many fans either.

Hey niceone, that is my actual diet. It varies every day and I do not eat cheese every day but often enough to mention it (approx. every other day), hence the phrasing "I might." But yeah, I'll put a check on that habit. Thanks.
