A few protein shake questions

Hey everyone,

Three days ago I bought some whey protein mix and also creatine pills. I have a few questions.

1. I do full body workouts every 2 days. I am currently taking three protein shakes a day, one in the morning, one after a workout (or on non workout days I just take one mid day) and one before sleeping. I am wondering if this is too much? With 23g per serving, plus the milk I mix it with, that's about 30g three times a day. So 90g plus all the other protein from foods. I weigh 140 pounds and I am 17 years old. It is whey protein so as I have read, it digests quickly. Maybe I should stop taking it before bed? This is my main question, any feedback would be appreciated.

2. About the creatine. First off, my friend is very against it because there has only been 15 years of research. Any comments on that? Second question about creatine, how long until you started to notice a difference in your muscles? Most people I ask say 1-2 weeks. I am taking 4 pills a day, 2 when I wake up and 2 before working out (or on non workout days, just anytime in mid day).

Thanks in advance. I'd really appreciate anyones feedback and opinions on any of this.

Don't take whey protein at night, it digests too fast. take casein protein, it will digest slowley and supply your muscles with a steady stream of bcaa's. As far as creatine goes, your doses seem okay, but make sure if the pills are creatine monohydrate you take them with at least 50 g of carbs post workout (a protein scoop of sugar will sufice.)

Great thanks. I thought of another question too.

I bought my protein mix from walmart (that was all that was open at the time). It is called Body Fortress 100% premium whey protein. It seems fine, but I don't know... I just want to make sure because I know walmart doesn't have amazing selection for things, especially when it comes to health.

I couldn't stand the flavor of Body Fortress.. It should be good protein though, personally, I switched to ON mainly because of the flavor..
