| | | How much is enough Vitamin C? I just read that in a study conducted at Arizona State University, people who incorporated a Vitamin C supplement to their daily diet and exercise regimen were able to burn fat 11% more effectively than those who had lower levels of Vitamin C in their system.
I just picked up a bottle of 500mg Vitamin C chewables. How much calcium is enough for a day?
Thanks,

So would 2 tablets a day (1,000mg) be sufficient? |

I'd say 500mg in the morning and 500 at night would be more than enough (assuming it didn't upset your stomach).. |

| | | Actually, it needs to be mentioned that NOBODY can answer how much is enough.
Nobody here knows your current health, other vitamin intake, metabolism, food intake, environment pollution levels, the medications or herbs you take, your immune system condition, nor your underwear size and how much hair you have on your back.
-Ok, the last 2 are irrelevant but ALL THE OTHERS ARE NOT.
We cannot tell you how much to take. We can only state what is a relevant "safe" "average" dosage is. You need to take other factors as I have just listed into account and decide for yourself unless you have someone take all your variables and plan out a complete nutritional and exercise plan.
The body doesn't know how much a milligram is or how much a capsule is. It only knows it uses what you give it, and sometimes it needs more or less.
Personally, I find most adults can easily handle more than 500, but it would be incredibly bad of me to try to reccommend any dosage level without knowing what I am applying that to. |

So are potatoes.
Let's try an experiment:
Let's see if we can go on a potato and vitamin "C" diet and get cancer!
............We might have to smoke 'em though........ |

| | | the RDA (recommended daily amount) is 60 mg, but experts are now saying that is far below what u should take. Like it was said earlier, vitamin C is a water soulable vitamin, so when ure body has had enough it will flush it through ure system and you will piss it out. Just drink enough water.
I take about 1,000 to 1,500 mg a day. Ive heard of studies where people take up to 2500 mg a day, that sounds a little ridiculous but whatever. Ive heard that when u lift weights and work out that ure immune system goes down so it is a good idea to take extra vitamin C when you lift. so like i said, it all flushes out of ure system so just dont be ridiculous with the amount u take and you will be fine | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
