| | I havent tried the muscle milk powder, but I have tried the banana cream ready made drink and it was a bit too sweet for me, but it had a great amount of protein in it and it sells really well at my work for people on the go. So I guess depending on the person, opinions will vary a bit Did you have a more specific question about it as in comparison with another product? |

| | | Muscle milk is no rocket science, It's just a protein blend + some additives , be more specific in your questions

For example, you could easily create a shake of your own ( at home ) with a very similar macro nutrient profile by simply mixing some skim milk in with some skim milk powder and throw in a scoop of ice cream along with some flavored drink mix.
You really don't need supplements in order to simply ' gain weight ' IMO. |

| | | It seams like alot of people on this board tend to shoot down anything processed and packaged on the basis that you can make your own drink that is similar and for a lot cheaper. And you know what, their right. But some people would rather buy stuff and save a little time and energy, and thats fine too. Muscle Milk is not the most popular protein drink among serious weight lifters because it doesn't have the nutritional properties that some other protein drinks have, but it does taste 10 times better than anything else on the market. If you are a casual weight lifter I would argue that Muscle Milk is the way to go because you're more likely to keep using it because it tastes great. Mix it with some berries and other fruit -- absolutely amazing.
In terms of trying to gain weight with it, I would not recommend it. Trying to gain weight for the sake of gaining weight is a bad idea. If you gorge yourself on weight gainer and other shakes, you're likely to put on weight, but it'll just be fat. Best to stick to a healthy diet and lift consistently. |

Btw dont waste your money. Just grab a litre of ff chocolate milk for right after the gym, and eat when you get home a while later. |

| | | I've heard about the side effects of Mega Mass (hair loss, not able to have an erection..etc) .. is that true? And which level of mega mass should I start? 2000 ?
Between Mega Mass and Up Your Mass, what would you most recommend and why?
Many supplements are out there and I'm looking for those with the most promising results and the most safest with no or little side effects. What would you recommend?
I've also heard others recommending MRP and Whey protein instead of supplements like Mega Mass and others, are they really better? |

| | | do you like the taste of peanut butter?
because fat from nuts is a very healthy source of fat for the body, naturally low in carbs if you want to stay lean, and high in protein.
or if you just want to gain weight for the sake of gaining weight, eat a ton of fruit; very high in carbs, and carbs that is not used by the body is converted to fat and stored away.
i'm trying to gain 20-30 lbs, i buy a box of kirkland soy milk from costco, and blend it with 2tbsp of peanut butter, i don't really measure it, i just get a huge scoop of what looks like 2, possibly 3 (maybe even 4?) spoons of pb. blend it. drink it. lift some weights. etc. oh then i also drink muscle milk after lifting. does it help? i don't know, i barely started lifting a week ago, but the pb+soy i've been doing awhile just to replace solid foods at nights, or breakfast if i have no time to sit and eat (because i woke up late or fell asleep in the shower.) |

| | | Muscle milk has got to be one of the lamest names for a supplement. If i was to take it i wouldn't want anyone at school to know i do because everyone already pays me out about taking protein shakes. |

It was removed a couple years ago, but there are still a lot of old articles on the web. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
