| | In need of 30 pounds :( Hey, I am 25 and have been 110 pounds for as long as i can remember.. I eat well (maybe a little too much) yet I cannot seem to gain any weight..
I work as a lifeguard so I'm pretty much swimming and staying active throughout my days, was thinking maybe thats the reason I can't seem to gain weight...
Anyway a friend suggested I take Muscle Milk to help. I really need to gain about 30 - 35 pounds and he said I could accomplish this with muscle milk in no time..
Could anyone help me with this...
I'd like to know if Muscle Milk really would work and how much of the stuff would I need to use daily along with a suggested meal plan..
I really need the weight lol |

| | | increase the calories you eat to gain weight. whether you get the increased calories from muscle milk or sticks of butter is up to you. I wouldn't say you necessarily need a suppliment like muscle milk, (it's a good option, but expensive) you can just make sure you're eating more... I would recommend more meats. |

| | How about real milk? Whole milk. Maybe some weight training? Quality calories. Walnuts, almonds, cashews. They're high in calories. If your really active, your probably going to have to eat constantly. Always be snacking, drink as much milk as your body can handle. If your not full, eat If you have trouble with milk, you can try to get raw milk at a health store or you can take lactase, a supplement that has the enzymes to break down milk sugar. Raw milk is better for you, though. I always suggest meat, veggies, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, no sugar, but you have to eat a ton to get bigger. I still suggest quality foods and not just chips and sugar. Your body needs good fuel to work right. Olive oil is another way to get good calories. Put alot on salads, drink it straight if you can. Eggs too.
Meat, eggs, milk, nuts, seeds, olive oil plus your normal meals.
weighttraining: must include barbell squat and whatever else. I recommend Starting Strength for everyone. Women too. |

| | 2 words...Big Macs No, I'm just kidding.....
Protein is your best bet......eat lots of protein by eating meats, nuts, eggs, legumes, even protein shakes would be good.
Upping your calorie intake is necessary. To gain muscle, you should be lifting heavier weights and doing fewer reps as opposed to lighter weights and more reps as this is what you'd do to gain strength. Hope this helps. |

| | | Whatever you try, I would love to get some feedback. The reason I don't mention grains or legumes is that some people have alergies to these foods which causes inflamation. Same with milk. If your digestive tract can handle them, go for it but you need the quality of the meat, veggies, nuts, seed. That's the paleo diet if you want to look in to it. |

Definately Sweet Potatoes. I had a spell when I was eating them like crazy and put on 10 lbs in about two weeks. Now I'm low carb'n it and avoid them like the plague.
P.S. Ton's of full fat sour cream and real butter-I sure miss them.
