Question Please help out a beginner...

I am new to supplements. I am so confused. What do I take? When do I take it? What kind of shakes, when? I am really sooo lost..
I don't take daily vitamins or anything right now because I dont know what to mix with what, etc...
I am fem 135lbs, I lost about 70 lbs a 1 1/2 years ago I have kept the weight off. Now I want to take it to the next level and get pretty muscular. If that makes a difference.
Thank you in advance for all of your help!!!

Just a quicky response someone else will go in more detail.

Creatine - more longer lasting energy (only for short bursts)
protein - build up the muscles.

If you have a good diet you dont really need all those vitamins etc so if you were keen those two are a good start.

Thank you for your reply! Here is my delima, I should have included it to begin with. I lost weight by watching my diet and a very small amount of inconsistant exercise. I basicly lost it the wrong way.

Now that I want to turn everything into muscle (more like Cameron Diaz not like a bodybuilder), Im scared that I wont eat enough or Ill eat too much. I try to eat as healthy as I can. I thought that if I continued on the same diet and added a shake a day that I would be doing right, but then I second guess myself and think that I am going to put my body in starvation mode. I get at the most about 1000 to 1100 calories a day right now.

I did pick up Hydroxicut, vit E, and a daily vit last night.
So what do you guys think????? Please help!

You need to get consistent with your macro (protein, carb and fat) intake. Caloric intake is secondary to that. You want to look like Cameron Diaz... but are you tall, do you have a long torso and legs?? Your genetics will tell you how close you will get to her body.

There is no need to take any supplement until you have a hold on your diet. It may be best you post it and we can help more. Your workout habits should be posted as well.

Your caloric intake is too low as of right now.

1100 cals a day is way too low. starvation mode low.

comatose patients get more calories a day, and they are bed ridden COMA patients!

start eating more...ramp it up over a few weeks. protein, green veggies, watch the bread carbs and sugar.

you'll feel better, and you'll lose more weight.

I am 5'8 135lbs I was told by my trainer that I had for a very very short time that I have the "type of body every woman wants". I think that I am built like cameron diaz although I dont look like her, yet.

I have been doing 30 min cardio 2-3 times a week and weights once a week for the past couple of weeks and I am uping that to 45-60 min cardio 6-7 days and 2-3 days of weights starting today. When I say cardio I mean the EFX not the treadmill or bike.

I don't think you guys are going to like my diet but here it is:
When I eat breakfast its cereal(honey nut cheerios) or a granola bar
Lunch is apple and peanutbutter, granola bar or I will get something like a grilled chicken sandwich(no mayo)
I try to have a good dinner, in moderation...

As you can tell I need some help and I know it!!

Just to refresh your memory, check out the pic on this page...

That sounds like a great way to crash diet your way to the Cameron Diaz look.

You need a lot of help on your nutrition, starving yourself is only hurting your goals.

Please help with specifics like How many calories, fat, etc... Do I take supplements? If so what do I take and when.

I don't like the road I'm on, I don't feel healthy. The only thing I can say that I do right is that I don't eat fast food. Please help!!! Thanks so much!!
