You should start noticing changes in a month or two. But be easy on yourself. Don't expect too much all at once. Take pictures of yourself every few months so you can really see your progress. Good luck!

I agree with SnoBunny you should be eating more. If you drastically lower your caloric intake (how many calories you eat each day) you will lower your metabolism and end up in starvation mode where your body clings to fat . . . not good *shakes finger*

If i were you i would use one of the free online calculators which tell you how many calories you need everyday to maintain, lose fat, gain fat etc. They arent completely accurate but they will help give you an idea. (just do a google search for caloric intake calculator or something similar)

To keep your metabolism up, it is recommended you eat 4-8 small meals a day(each meal should be the same size). I think the more the better, but its hard to eat that often with a busy schedule so heres what i do.

    For 1300 calories a day I'd eat:
    Breakfast - 250 calories
    Snack - 100 calories
    Lunch - 250 calories
    Snack - 100 calories
    Afternoon Meal - 250 calories
    Snack - 100 calories
    Dinner - 250 calories

When you eat smaller snacks in between its easier because you can eat a yogurt, or cottage cheese, or a piece of bread w/ peanut butter in class or wherever you are without too much of a fuss.
For my meals i try to make them more substantial with a complex carb, protein, and veggies at each.

Now your young and busy so you may not want to count calories- for me personally it makes it easier to find out how much i'm really eating. But just remember its much better for fatloss to eat smaller portions throughout the day. And drink as much water as possible that helps too (I bring a bottle with me to work and school). And definetly do not starve or practically starve yourself! Good luck and keep up the good work. . .
