Why do you rate your activity level a 1.55? What do you do in a day/week?

well i weight train 4 days a week and cardio 2 day sometimes 3 (only run a mile on those days). so if thats a level up from that then 1.55 then do that.

alright i get 965.65 for my weight, 927.7 for my height, 122.4 for my age

66 + 965.65 + 927.1 - 122.4 = 1836.35

1836.35 x 1.725 = 3167

MT = 3167

So is this right?

BMR = (for women) (.90 * body weight(kg) * 24)*lean factor multiplier
TDCI = BMR * daily activity multiplier
155/2.2 = 70.45kg
.9 * 70.45 * 24 = 1521.81

bf% between 14% - 18% use 1.0 multiplier = 1521.81 cal BMR
TDIC = 1521.81 * 1.60(my estimate based on what u said) = 2434.9 cal

bf% between 19% - 28% use .95 multiplier = 1445.72 cal BMR
TDCI = 1445.72 * 1.60 = 2313 cal

bf% between 29% - 38% use .90 multiplier = 1369.63 cal BMR
TDCI = 1369.63 * 1.60 = 2191.41 cal

seems a little low so i would change the activity multiplier to at least 1.65
and from there depending on your goals zig-zag your calories up and down

i am unfamiliar with the equation you are using but no one equation is perfect - REMEMBER it is just a starting point to find your calorie base to maintain weight and they all require you to adjust some for individual difference
if you are strict on your calorie intake then this is the only time i will say the scale is your friend cause it will help you fine tune your base line calorie intake
hope this helped some

For men: (10*w) + (6.25*h) - (5*a) + 5

For women: (10*w) + (6.25*h) - (5*a) - 161

w = weight in kg
h = height in cm
a = age

For us non-metric folk,
1kg = 2.2lb
1ft = 30.48cm (1inch = 2.54 cm)

The we are going to take into consideration your activity level.. Once you determine which you fall under, multiply your BMR by your activity level. (You can also use number in between these if you feel you don't exactly fall into one category, ie 1.35)

1.2 (Bed Ridden)
1.3 (Sedentary)
1.4 (Activle)
1.5 (VERY Avtive)

Here's an example,
I weigh 230lbs, which is 230lb/2.2(kg/lb) = 104.54kg
I am 5'9", or 69" which is 175.26cm
And am a 24 yr old male.

(10*104.54kg) + (6.25*175.26cm) - (5*24) + 5
= 1045.4 + 1095.375 - 120 +5
= 2025.775 kcal

So that is how many calories I would burn if I slept all day, which I don't btw
So I consider myself to be very active so I'll use 1.45 as my activity number.

2025.775 * 1.45
=2937.37kcal/day To maintain my weight.

Now when i use this formual i get 2572 as my MT line...
Someone please shine some light on me because one formula i get 3000c as my MT line and in this one i get 2600c as my MT line.

sorry bout that dude lol the only difference in my calculation is for men the equation is as follows (1.0 * BW(kg)*24)*lean factor multiplier
and as far as your body fat goes i can see how an equation that doesn't factor in body fat will result in a higher basal metabolic rate
and as far as activity mulltipliers my equation uses as follows

Lean Factor Percent Body Fat (%) Multiplier
Men
1 10 to 14 1.0
2 15 to 20 .95
3 21 to 28 .90
4 Over 28 .85

Women
1 14 to 18 1.0
2 19 to 28 .95
3 29 to 38 .90
4 Over 38 .85

Average Daily Activity Levels

Couch Potato Range 1.30 = Very Light
Sitting, studying, talking, little walking or other activities through out the day

1.55 = Light
Typing, teaching, lab/shop work, some walking throughout the day

Fitness Buff Range
1.55 = Light
Typing, teaching, lab/shop work, some walking throughout the day

1.65 = Moderate
Walking, jogging, gardening type job with activities such as cycling, tennis, dancing, skiing or weight training 1-2 hours per day

Athlete or Hard Daily Trainer Range
1.80 = Heavy
Heavy manual labor such as digging, tree felling, climbing, with activities such as football, soccer or body building 2 to 4 hours per day

2.00 = Very Heavy
A combination of moderate and heavy activity 8 or more hours per day, plus 2-4 hours of intense training per day

ok so here is what i got now that i know that you are a dude lol
(1*70.45*24)*.95(lean multiplier#2 just a guess for example)
1606.36*1.60(activity multiplier from what you said)
2570.1818181818181818181818181818
well i got 2570.18 for your MT which is pretty close to yours
