An amazing story of a man who lost more than 400lbs with the help of a trainer who later became his best friend, and after he lost the 400lb's he's been bodybuilding.

Wow--that's a really powerful story.
I always wonder how many really big people there are out there. The Learning Channel has stories about their amazing weight loss all the time.
I guess it gives a person perspective. Suddenly, the 100+ lbs I have to lose don't seem so impossible after all!

I think most people who are obese needs a friend who understands, and I think the man in the article knew that. It really helped him. I don't think it was the "pounds" that needed to be lost; instead it was the "mental prison" that needed to be broken. I respect people like the man in this article. It really goes to show you that some people out there really wants to be your friend and help you with no strings attached.

Awesome read IMO.
I've been taking my brother with me to my local gym trying to help in loose weight. He's at 43.5% BF as of yesterday and weights 18 and half stone. Not as extreme as the weight loss in the article, but way above average BMI sitting at around 34.
